Skamolex Panels

Produced from compressed Vermiculite having excellent insulating properties, these panels are available ex stock in several densities and thicknesses.

Vermiculite is the geological name given to a group of hydrated laminar minerals, which are aluminium-iron magnesium silicates. When subjected to sudden, intense heat vermiculite has the unique property of exfoliating.

For Gas Fires a 15mm thick V1100 panel is usually adequate, for Wood burning and multifuel appliances we have 25mm thick V1100 and extra high density VIP-12.

The binders used in this material do not burn off when heated thus no unpleasant smells. This is a benefit in all appliances but especially in flueless heaters where all emissions enter the room.

7 Panel designs

The range of SKAMOLEX panel designs include plain & six standard patterns ranging from traditional masonry look to three completely new designs matching current trends of today’s fires and stoves.
